MIRADOR organises for young people training on management and resolution of conflicts, international and European exchanges, conferences and crisis simulations.

These actions help to enrich the participants’ knowledge on the world and train them in the management and resolution of conflicts.

It is about working to develop empathy, argumentation, critical thinking and team spirit as well as data research, the analysis of information and oral expression.

These actions are open to not-for-profit organisations, to organisations working with young people, to schools and to informal groups of young people.

YouCube

Your institution wants to improve its educational atmosphere.

You feel like there is tension in your class and you would like to resolve it.

The group of young people that you supervise is seeking the key to good management and resolution of conflicts.

YouCube is a training programme on management and resolution of conflicts aimed at pupils, young people (who are not, or no longer, in school) and students. YouCube’s objective is to assist people in having a better understanding of the world and in finding their own strategy for managing and resolving conflicts. Depending on the needs, this training programme can also come with a specific module. Tailor-made training programmes can be organised – contact us to talk about it.

  • What are my reactions during a conflict?

International and European exchanges

Your institution would like to create a European or international partnership, based on the topic of peace and reconciliation.

You would like to work with your class on the topic of peace, in a concrete and original manner.

The group of young people that you supervise would like to meet other young people elsewhere and invest in a project for creating peace.

MIRADOR organises week-long exchanges, in France, based on the topic of peace and reconciliation. For the young people and their supervisors it means working in partnership with young people from another country on the subject of conflict, in a fun and participatory way. The final aim of the week is for the young people to organise and manage one whole day, based on a topic such as sport & peace, or art & peace, or even science & peace, for example.

Duration: 1 week for the exchange and 8h for the preparation and evaluation
Approach: Participatory, active, original and fun
Techniques: Brainstorming, role play, case studies, simulations, practical case studies, debates
Number of participants: 6 persons (minimum) to 35 (maximum)
Price: To be defined depending on the length of the training programme

Crises simulations

You are looking for an activity that promotes the integration of your team and stimulates team spirit.

You would like to deal with a school curriculum crisis or a conflict in a fun and participatory approach.

You would like to see the young people that you supervise prepare themselves for future action by putting themselves in the situation.

MIRADOR can create simulations adapted to your needs. The objective of the simulations is to put the players in a situation whereby they can experience a situation of conflict from the inside, to enable them to find the solution themselves. The simulations can be done face-to-face or else via the crisis cyber-simulator.

Topics covered during the simulation: To be determined with you
Duration: From 2 hours to 1 week
Approach: Participatory, active, original and fun
Technique: Role play (paper or IT version)
Number of participants: 6 persons (minimum) to 200 (maximum)
Price: To be defined depending on the length of the training programme and the topics covered

Conferences

You would like to provide for your institution, an action to raise awareness on a large scale, on a particular topic.

You would like to help your pupils to think critically when it comes to media.

The group of young people that you supervise want to organise a public event that is bearer to civic values.

Through the realisation of an original conference on a conflict in the world, the young public develop their knowledge of the world and the media, as well as their empathy. Using an original analysis method of crises and conflict, they learn how to objectively unscramble all types of conflict, and in particular those that touch them, by taking into account the viewpoint of all the persons involved.

Duration: 12h (conference included)
Approach: Participatory, active, original and fun
Techniques: Brainstorming, role play, case studies, simulations, practical case studies, debates
Number of participants: 10 persons (minimum) to 35 (maximum)
Price: To be defined depending on the topics covered
